Today is May 4th! This special date is a commemoration day which honours the infamous and legendary Star Wars media franchise. At Wallace Bishop we are all Star Wars enthusiasts, so we have put together a list of our favourite collectables from the Royal Selangor Star Wars merchandise range.

Would it really be a May the 4th without the charming and funny C-3PO?
A limited edition of 5,000 individually numbered pieces worldwide. Accustomed to more genteel surroundings, being marooned on a desert planet is not going well for our fussy protocol droid, especially not when his travel companion has secret mission plans of his own. C-3PO is reproduced in exquisite detail in pewter, captured in his iconic fit of pique at R2 after their unceremonious landing on the barren sands of Tatooine, in 1977’s Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Brightly gilded in 24K gold except for the droid’s lower right leg, to maintain movie accuracy.

An upgrade to the Alliance-era T-65, the T-70 X-Wing’s enhanced speed, armaments and manoeuvrability proves deadly not only in dogfights with TIE Fighters but also against considerably larger ships. The 1/72 scale collectible reproduces the Resistance fighter’s details faithfully. The articulated S-foil wing assembly, with their unique split nacelles, can be positioned closed for normal flight mode or spread into their trademark ‘X’ attack configuration.

Poe Dameron’s loyal and resourceful BB-series astromech droid may look adorable but it possesses something of a ruthless streak. At approximately 1/9 scale, and deliberately weighted to tip at an angle, removing BB-8’s domed head reveals a tiny container for top secret star charts and the like.
